Head youth football coach Mike McKay describes why his program counts on The Colt football blocking pad with arms to improve player performance.
Coach McKay says his program initially ordered The Colt for use in pass rush drills for defensive linemen, but quickly learned The Colt has value at every position except QB. They now use the pad for tackling drills, offensive line training, block shedding for defensive linemen and linebackers, even handfighting drills for wide receivers and defensive backs.
The Colt’s arms are durable and hold their position even after heavy use. The arms force players to get their entire body clear of contact. In tackling drills, the arms provide a target players must get under to ensure a proper form tackle.
